On 11 October 2019, Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya led the Thai government officials and the Thai community in the UAE to pay tribute to His Late Majesty King Bhumibhol Adulyadej in remembrance of His Late Majesty the King’s upcoming Memorial Day 13 October. Participants laid flower vases and bouquets in front of the Royal Photo followed by performing the candle-lit ceremony. Buddhist chantings and donations to the representative of Ewa’a Shelters for Victims of Human Trafficking as were also jointly performed by the participants as a merit making dedicated to His Late Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
