On 9 December 2020 Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya and H.E. Mr. Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates signed an Agreement between the Government of the Kingdom of Thailand and the Government of the United Arab Emirates on Mutual Exemption of Entry Visas for Holders of Diplomatic and Official/Special Passports at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, which is a part of the celebration packages to commemorate the 45th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and the UAE on 12 December 2020. On the said occasion, Ambassador and Undersecretary discussed and exchanged views on various issues to strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two countries including people-to-people contact.
