The Immigration Bureau of Thailand has introduced the use of the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) to facilitate travellers entering Thailand.
- Effective from 1 May 2025, all non-Thai nationals entering Thailand must complete the TDAC online at https://tdac.immigration.go.th, in advance before their arrival.
- Submission is free-of-charge, and available 3 days preceding the travel date.
After completing the form online, an acknowledgement email will be sent to the email address provided. This acknowledgement email is to be presented along with travel documents at the immigration counter upon arrival for verification.
- The TDAC is mandatory for all non-Thai visitors, regardless of their mode of transportation; be it land, sea or air, and regardless of whether they require a visa to enter Thailand or not.
- The TDAC is not a visa, nor does it replace a visa.
- Travellers who require a visa to enter Thailand still need to apply for an e-Visa online, and additionally complete the TDAC before entry.
- Travellers who can enter Thailand visa-free, like UAE passport-holders with UAE nationality, will still be able to do so, but will also need to complete the TDAC before entry.
Guidelines for the TDAC are enclosed for further details.
