On 29 January 2026, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi welcomed Dr. Pornpimon Mahamad, Director of the Chulalongkorn University Halal Science Center, along with the Center’s staff and Thai halal entrepreneurs, on the occasion of their visit to Abu Dhabi.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to promote cooperation in halal standards and science, develop halal businesses in line with the green economy and sustainability principles, expand trade and investment opportunities for Thai halal products in the UAE market, and establish networks with relevant local agencies to support Thai entrepreneurs, especially SMEs, in accessing the Middle Eastern market efficiently and sustainably.

The Charges d'affaires a.i. expressed appreciation for the role of the Center in elevating the standards of Thai halal products to gain international recognition, while also promoting environmentally friendly halal business practices, and affirmed the Embassy's readiness to support and strengthen halal and green economy cooperation between Thailand and the UAE on an ongoing basis.
