On 9 August 2019, Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya led government officials, the Thai Community in the United Arab Emirates and members of their families to perform a ceremony to commemorate the auspicious occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother, 12 August 2019, at the Embassy in Abu Dhabi. After the ceremony, all went to the Heritage Park to plant “Ghaf trees” to pay tribute to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother. Ghaf tree is selected to be a symbol of the “Year of Tolerance” of the UAE.
