Royal Thai Embassy, Abu Dhabi celebrated “Thai Children Day 2010”

            On 26 February 2010, Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi in collaboration with teachers and parents of the Thai Language and Culture School under sponsorship of the Embassy, organized an activity on the occasion of the Thai Children Day 2010 at residence of the Ambassador. The function witnessed over 100 participants.

            The objectives of this event are to recognize the importance of children who are Thailand’s valuable assets and to strengthen the bonds within each family and between members of the Thai community. During the activity, children and their parents had an opportunity to enjoy several traditional Thai games together as well as socializing with other friends and families.

            The children had performed and demonstrated traditional Thai dances, shows, and games. All of which had enabled Thai children who were born and grown up abroad to experience the true spirit of Thai culture in the same way that children in Thailand do.

            In the end, the Embassy, Thai Ladies Association, and certain members of the Thai community in Abu Dhabi presented prizes and offered gifts and souvenirs to all the children as tokens for their attendance. This was then followed by dinner party hosted by the Ambassador and his wife.
