           The Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi organized activities on the occasion of the National Children’s Day 2013 followed by a dinner party at the Thai Ambassador’s residence in Abu Dhabi. The celebration witnessed over 150 participants including the Thai youths and their parents.
            H.E. Warawudh Chuwiruch, Thai Ambassador to the UAE presided over opening ceremony and gave a short remarks by emphasizing the importance of Thai children on national development.  He had welcomed Thai students from Scientific and Islamic Institute, Al Ain, and told them the  Embassy will organize Mobile Consular Service 2013 and will visit them at school. He also highlighted the purpose of this celebration as a mean to promote Thai culture and traditions among Thai Children that were born and raised abroad, and as a venue for the children to show their talents and abilities through activities.
            After the Thai passport demonstration, the children went to see activities at the Thai Ambassador’s residence. The activities consisted of both traditional and contemporary performances by Thai students who attended the School of Thai Language and culture under the patronage of the Thai Embassy. Afterwards, all children and their parents were invited to participate in the quiz about general knowledge and many traditional Thai games.
