On 24 December 2013, His Excellency Warawudh Chuwiruch, Thai Ambassador to the UAE, hosted a lunch for 19 Thai Muslim students who had just arrived to the UAE to pursue their secondary level education at the Al Mahad Al Islami school in Al Ain. All these students are financed by Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC).
           During the lunch, the Ambassador asked the students to be disciplined, hard-working and well behaved as their scholarships represent golden opportunities for their future career. He also stressed that the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi is always ready to extend support to them as it has been  regularly doing so for senior Thai Muslim students at the same school.
           The Embassy wishes to further note that  ADEC has been awarding scholarships to Thai students for many years now, whereby the number of scholarships varies each year. The applicants must be a Thai Muslim male graduate of primary school (Grade 6) with outstanding academic performance and behaviour, while possessing basic knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage as Arabic is the language of instruction at Al Mahad Al Islami.
