On 26th October 2017, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi hosted the Sandalwood Flower Laying Ceremony in tribute to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The ceremony was preceded over by H.E. Mr Komate Kamalanavin, Ambassador of Thailand to the United Arab Emirates. The ceremony was attended by Mr Panot Punyahotra, Director of Thai Trade Dubai Office and his spouse; Ms Sunaree Kongsathid, Acting Minister-Counsellor of the Office of Thai Labour Mr Pichaya Saisaengchan, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand Dubai Office; Mr Chantouch Srinilta, General Manager UAE and Middle East of Thai Airways International Public Co Ltd and spouse as well as diplomats and staff from Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi. A total of 567 Thais nationals and foreigners living in the United Arab Emirates attended the said ceremony.
