On 12 April 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi was delighted to host the Songkran Festival 2025, celebrating the Thai New Year with joy and vibrant cultural traditions,  at the Thai Ambassador's Residence, Abu Dhabi. The event featured a variety of activities, including the ceremonial pouring of water for blessings, the sand pagoda building, and the revered tradition of seeking blessings from elders. Guests also enjoyed lively competitions for Little Songkran Star and Miss Songkran, as well as a series of captivating performances such as magic show, youth talent showcases, singing performances, and elegant traditional Thai dances.

 

Moreover, the festival hosted an array of stalls serving authentic Thai cuisine, Thai products, and traditional Thai massage services- for both Thai and foreign guests alike to experience the richness of Thai culture and heritage.
