On 11 August 2026, H.E. Mr. Bolbongse Vangphaen, Ambassador of Thailand to the United Arab Emirates, presided over a ceremony held at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi to dedicate merit to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother on the auspicious occasion of Her Late Majesty’s Birthday Anniversary and Thailand’s National Mother’s Day on 12 August 2026. The ceremony was attended by Heads and representatives of Thailand Team agencies in Abu Dhabi, officials and staff of the Embassy, together with their spouses, as well as members of the Thai community in Abu Dhabi. Attendees joined in the Buddhist chanting and meditation in dedication of merit to Her Late Majesty, expressing their profound loyalty and gratitude.

 

On this occasion, the Royal Thai Embassy also organised a volunteer flower-garland-making activity led by the Thai Women’s Association in Abu Dhabi. Mothers and children, together with members of the Thai community, participated in the activity, which aimed to strengthen family bonds and preserve Thai cultural traditions in celebration of Thailand’s National Mother’s Day.
