Effective from Wednesdasy 1 January 2025, 07.00 hrs. UAE time, a foreign national residing in the UAE and wishes to apply for a Thai visa must apply and submit his/her application through the new online e-Visa platform at https://www.thaievisa.go.th.

 

Applicant will no longer require to submit his/her passport and original supporting documents in person at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi. However, during the e-Visa reviewing process, the Embassy has the right to request additional documents and/or an in-person interview with the applicant at the Embassy in Abu Dhabi, if deemed necessary. 

 

After the e-Visa application has been approved, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant. The applicant is kindly requested to print a copy of the confirmation email to present to the airline at the port of departure and to Thai immigration officials in Thailand.
