On 24 May 2023, H.E. Mr. Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE, together with Mrs. Palida Ruamkham, Minister Counsellor (Labour Affairs), met with Dr. Abdulrahman Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation. The two sides discussed ways to accelerate the employment of Thai workers in the UAE in various fields through mechanisms facilitated by the two Governments and private sectors.
