On 4 December 2024, H.E. Mr. Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of Thailand to the United Arab Emirates, together with the Heads of Team Thailand Agencies in the United Arab Emirates, hosted a Reception on the Occasion of the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Thai National Day, and Thai Father’s Day at the Dusit Thani hotel in Abu Dhabi. The Reception was attended by H.E. Khalid Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, representatives of the Diplomatic Corp, government agencies, the private sector, the Thai community and Friends of Thailand, with the total number of 300 attendees.

 

On this occasion, the Ambassador of welcomed the guests and reiterated the importance of this auspicious day and noted the close and cordial relationship between the two counties, which will commemorate its 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2025. The Ambassador also commended the efforts of both sides for their efforts in strengthening cooperation in various areas; tourism, trade and people-to-people relationship between Thailand and the UAE.
