On 12 October 2020, Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya led the Thai government officials and the Thai community in the UAE to pay tribute to His Late Majesty King Bhumibhol Adulyadej in remembrance of His Late Majesty the King’s upcoming Memorial Day 13 October. Participants laid flower vases in front of the Royal Photo followed by performing the candle-lit ceremony and held a 89-second of silence.

On the same occasion, the Embassy and the Thai Community also did a charity work by providing food, basic supplies and surgical masks to the local community around the Embassy area as a merit making dedicated to His Late Majesty King Bhumibol A
