Thai Ambassador to the UAE meets the press

            H.E. Mr. Somchai Charanasomboon, Thai Ambassador to the UAE invited a group of media in Abu Dhabi comprising an executive from National Media Council, editor and reporter from the National newspaper, editors from Abu Dhabi Week Magazine, and journalists and reporters from various sources to his residence on 11 November 2010, to make acquaintance, exchange views, and disseminate information about Thailand.   

            H.E the Thai Ambassador briefed the media on bilateral relations with the UAE, as well as the Embassy’s upcoming activities, including a reception on the occasion of H.M. the King’s 83rd Birthday Anniversary and the National Day, Thai Festival 2010, Loy Kratong Day, Thai food and fruits promotion etc. and answered the questions regarding Thai politics and economics. Meanwhile, Thai food and delicacies were served to promote our rich culture in this sector as well as to create the correct understanding about its originality and authenticity. 

Subsequently, the latest issue of Abu Dhabi Week Magazine which has been circulated throughout  Abu Dhabi has published a column about Thai Festival 2010 that will be organized by the Thai Embassy in collaboration with Shangri – La Hotel, Abu Dhabi during 6 – 16 December 2010. This celebration will feature Thai food and delicacies, traditional Thai performances, fruit and vegetable carving demonstration, and Thai massage.
