On 8 November 2012, Mrs. Sukanya Suthipan, President of the Thai Women’s Club (TWC) in Abu Dhabi, and 21 members of TWC paid a call on H.E. Mr. Warawudh Chuwiruch, the new Thai Ambassador to the UAE, and Mrs. Aroonwan Chuwiruch, Ambassador’s wife, in order to greet the Ambassador and his wife as well as to introduce TWC and its members.

            After a short briefing on the background and current mission of TWC, Ambassador Warawudh thanked TWC for its continuous support for various activities of the Embassy, particularly in the areas of cultural and public diplomacy.  The participants then exchanged views on future collaboration between the Embassy and TWC, with Ambassador Warawudh stressing the role of TWC and the Thai community as a “soft power” in Thai-UAE diplomatic relations and as promoter of the good image of Thailand and Thais in the UAE.
