On 6 - 7 September 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy, Abu Dhabi arranged the annual Consular Mobile Service visiting Thai nationals and Thai Labours in different places in the UAE. On 6 September 2013, the Royal Thai Embassy’s officials, led by H.E. Warawudh Chuwirach, Thai Ambassador to the UAE, went to Mustafa, an industrial city in Abu Dhabi, to meet with 40 Thai camp bosses and labour representatives from Drillcon Company. At present time, there are about 90 Thai labours working at Drillcon. Apart from exchanging views and information, H.E. Ambassador and staff gave dry foods, instant noodles, medicines and sport equipments to the labour representatives.
Then the Consular Mobile team went to Ruwais, an industrial town of 250 km. from Abu Dhabi, to meet with the Thai community, who are working with Bourouge, a manufacturer of polyolefin, and IRPC, a petrochemical company. The Embassy brought Thai food, such as sticky rice, bamboo soup Thai style, deep fried marinated beef to Thai workers, while the dinner of delicious Thai food was hosted by the Thai community. On 7 September 2013, H.E. Ambassador visited the Thai masseurs at the Anantara Spa in Sir Bani Yas Island in order to view their living and working conditions.
