On 2 September 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi, joined by the Thai Consulate-General in Dubai, and the Thai Labour Office UAE, organized a meeting on providing assistance to Thais in distress in the UAE. The meeting was participated by various Thai volunteer groups from across the UAE.

During the meeting, attendees shared their experiences, brainstormed, and discussed ways and means to help Thais in distress in various situations. In addition, they took a chance to expand their network, share their views and discuss proposals to work with the Thai Embassy, Thai Consulate-General and Thai Labour Office. This will benefit joint efforts to help disseminate useful and correct information to those considering coming to work in the UAE who could be victims of human trafficking.

The Royal Thai Embassy would like to thank all the volunteers for their hard work in supporting the Embassy in fulfilling its consular duties, as volunteers are key in promoting the correct information to wider audiences.
