During 6-8 May 2024 Mr. Wirat Tatsaringkansakul, Deputy Secretary-General, Thailand Board of Investment (BOI), participated in the UAE’s Annual Investment Meeting 2024 (AIM Congress) in Abu Dhabi. The Deputy Secretary General was accompanied by officials from BOI Thailand, the BOI office in Riyadh and representatives from the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

During the sidelines of the AIM Congress, the delegation met with Dr. Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, First Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Humaid Ben Salem, Secretary General of the UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry. Both sides exchanged information on potential investments between Thailand and the UAE and agreed to expand cooperation between the BOI and the respective chambers.

Mr. Wirat Tatsaringkansakul also participated in the Asia Regional Forum on “Investing in Asia's Sustainable Future: Unlocking Opportunities for FDI in SDG Sectors” hosted by UNESCAP as a high-level panelist from Thailand.
