H.E. Mr. Bolbongse Vangphaen, Ambassador of Thailand to the United Arab Emirates, welcomed H.E. Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Mohamed Bandouq Al Qamzi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to ASEAN, at the Royal Thai Embassy, upon the invitation of the Thai side.

On this occasion, H.E. Ambassador Bolbongse congratulated H.E. Ambassador Al Qamzi on his assumption of office as the UAE’s first dedicated Ambassador to ASEAN, and commended the UAE’s leading and constructive role in Southeast Asia, including within the ASEAN–Gulf Cooperation Council (ASEAN–GCC) framework.

Both sides exchanged views on ways to further promote relations and cooperation between ASEAN and the UAE, with a focus on advancing practical cooperation, particularly in areas where the UAE has expertise and strengths, including people-to-people connectivity, energy and food security, and digital transformation.
