On 21 July 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi organised a number of Buddhist activities to commemorate the auspicious occasion of the 72nd Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn and the beginning of the Buddhist Lent. 

H.E. Mr. Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE, welcomed 5 monks from Thailand to lead the activities. He was joined by the Buddhist communities from Thailand and other countries living in Abu Dhabi and neighbouring areas.
