On 17 November 2022, Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya has received Professor Banchong Mahaisavariya, President of Mahidol University, and Executives of the University at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi on the occasion of their official visit to the UAE to further to find ways to strengthen medical cooperation between the two countries. The Delegation met with the UAE counterparts, namely Department of Health Abu Dhabi, Dubai Health Authority, Khalifa University, Cleveland Clinic and Dubai Hospital, to discuss ways and means for further collaboration on medical research and education as well as exchange of knowledge and best practices in medical fields. The Emiratis go to Thailand for medical treatment and physical check up more than 100,000 cases every year, or approximately 10% of its population.
