Phuket Sandbox Travel Guidelines for Travellers from the UAE
 
1. Traveller Eligibility (both Thai and Non-Thai nationals):
    1.1 Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 for no less than 14 days before departure with vaccines approved by the Thai government or WHO: AstraZeneca, Sinovac, Johnson&Johnson, Moderna, Sinopharm, Pfizer and CovidShield ** Children under the age of 18, traveling with parents, are eligible without proof of vaccination;
 
    1.2 Travel from countries considered as low/ medium-risk areas including from the UAE.Those who are not residing in the UAE must have continuously stayed in the UAE for at least 21 days before departure to Phuket;
 
    1.3 Hold a valid health insurance that covers medical expenses including treatments relating to COVID-19, with a minimum of 100,000 USD, throughout the period of stay in Thailand;
 
    1.4 Hold a confirmed booking at a hotel in Phuket approved by SHA+ For more  information: https://www.facebook.com/Shaplusphuket.

   1.5 If a traveller also plans to travel to other parts of Thailand, continuous stay in Phuket for at least 14 days is compulsory, either stay for the whole period at the same hotel or 7 days at the first hotel and the rest 7 days at another hotel in Phuket;
 
    1.6 Staying in Phuket less than 14 days is possible only if the next destination is outside Thailand;
 
    1.7 Upon check-in at the airport, a traveler must present an RT-PCR negative test result issued no more than 72 hours;
 
    1.8 Must take 3 COVID-19 PCR tests during the stay in Phuket (1st test on arrival at the airport, 2nd test on Day 6-7, 3rd test on Day 12-13). For those who intend to stay less than 14 days, COVID-19 PCR test must be taken based on the length of your stay (for example, a traveller should take 2 COVID-19 tests if he is staying for 8 days). Fees of approximately 2,500 - 3,500 Thai Baht for each test are not included in the hotel packages, please contact the hotel for the exact price and reservation;
 
    1.9 Hold the Certificate of Entry (COE) issued by the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai;
 
    1.10 Must install and allow the use of tracking applications throughout the stay in Phuket
 
 
2. Registration for the Certificate of Entry (COE):
     2.1 Register and submit all required documents via https://coethailand.mfa.go.th 3-5 working days prior to the departure date;
 
    2.2 Pre-approval: Choose "Yes" for the Sandbox Programme in "Travel Details" section;
 
    2.3 Fill in personal information and attach proof of vaccination;
 
    2.4 Final approval: Attach SHA+ confirmed hotel booking, flight tickets and booking of 3 COVID-19 PCR tests in Phuket;
 
    2.5 Once the COE is approved, print out and carry with yourself throughout the journey
