Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi Hosts Reception to Commemorate King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s Birthday, Thailand’s National Day, Father’s Day, and 50 Years of Thailand–UAE Diplomatic Relations

On 5 December 2025, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi hosted a reception to commemorate the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Thailand's National Day, and Father's Day, as well as to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and the United Arab Emirates on 12 December 2025.
 
The event was held at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Abu Dhabi and was presided over by Mr. Watana Chuttong, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi, together with members of Team Thailand, including the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Dubai, Thai Labour Office - UAE, PTT MEA, PTT Exploration and Production (PTTEP), and SCG.
The reception was honoured by the presence of H.E. Fatima Al Fahim, Deputy Director for Asian and Pacific Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, as the Guest of Honour, along with members of the diplomatic corps, senior representatives from relevant government and private sector agencies, as well as leaders of the Thai community and associations in Abu Dhabi, with more than 300 attendees.
 
On this occasion, the Chargé d'Affaires delivered welcoming remarks, highlighting the significance of 5 December as the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej The Great, Thailand's National Day, and Father's Day. He also underscored the enduring friendship between Thailand and the United Arab Emirates, noting that this year marks the golden jubilee of the two countries' diplomatic relations. He emphasized the continued growth of bilateral cooperation in tourism, trade, and people-to-people exchanges, further strengthening the close partnership between the two countries.
