On Friday, 9 April 2021, the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi organised the Songkran Festival to celebrate the Thai New Year 2021 for the Thai community, local citizens and expats in the UAE. Approximately 500 participants joined and witnessed our beautiful Thai traditional activities such as morning prayer and meditation, ritual bathing of Buddha images, street food market, Thai classical dances as well as the renowned Thai kick boxing.

 

 

The Embassy appreciates the kind cooperation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the UAE for granting the permission to hold the aforementioned event. All participants strictly conformed to rules and regulations of the UAE’s measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
