On 15 - 17 August 2025, H.E. Mr. Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of Thailand to the UAE, attended the UAE Muay Thai Youth Open Championship organized by the United Arab Emirates Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

The tournament brought together 422 young athletes from 49 clubs, reflecting the growing popularity of Muay Thai in the UAE. It also served as a platform to promote cultural exchange, discipline, and sportsmanship among the youth.

On this occasion, the Ambassador presented awards and congratulated the winners, while commending all the young athletes for helping to carry forward Muay Thai as Thailand’s treasured cultural heritage. The event also highlighted the strong cultural ties and close people-to-people connections between Thailand and the UAE.
