Thai Ambassador to the UAE opened Thailand Pavilion at Global Village

           On 18 December 2012, H.E. Mr. Warawudh Chuwiruch, Thai Ambassador to the UAE, presided over the opening ceremony of Thailand Pavilion at Global Village in Dubai. The event was also attended by the Thai Consul-General in Dubai and the Heads of all Team Thailand offices in the UAE.
            After joining the ribbon-cutting ceremony with H.E. Mr. Saeed Ali Bin Redha, CEO of Global Village, Ambassador Warawudh delivered his opening speech which commended Global Village as a fair reflection of Dubai and the UAE as a melting pot where people from different nationalities and religions live together peacefully. He also invited everyone to visit the Thailand Pavilion which in this year features over 200 exhibitors of products and services ranging from Thai food, garment, spa massage, jewelry, agarwood and arts & crafts. In addition, Thai traditional dances are performed every evening to entertain visitors. Afterwards, the Ambassador strolled through the booths and greeted Thai exhibitors.
           Global Village is a combination of marketplace, cultural shows and entertainment from various countries around the world. It is an annual winter fair which is entering its 17th year. Last edition managed to attract 4.5 million visitors. This year’s event will end on 30 March 2013.
