On 16 March 2023, Adinun Kittiratanapaibool, M.D., Director of Samitivej Srinakarin Hospital, together with members of the delegation, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of Thailand, at the Royal Thai Embassy in Abu Dhabi, to present the Hospital's strategy in supporting medical tourism of Thailand among customers in the UAE. On the said occasion, the delegation and Thai Ambassador discussed potential ways to to attract more Emiratis to Thailand for medical tourism in the future. Currently, Emiratis serve as the largest group of medical tourists to Thailand, accounting for 70 percent of the market from the GCC.
