ANNOUNCEMENT

on the Temporary Suspension of Visa Exemption and

Visa on Arrival (VoA) for Certain Countries/Territory

By virtue of the Order of the Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Thailand No.1/2563 dated 12 March B.E. 2563 (2020), as a measure to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, Thailand will temporarily suspend the following visas, from 13 March – 30 September 2020: 

1. VISA EXEMPTION offered unilaterally by the Royal Thai Government for nationals and/or holders of passports/travel documents of

1. Hong Kong SAR,
2. Italy,
3. Republic of Korea and;

        2.  VISA ON ARRIVAL (VoA) schemes for nationals and/or holders of passports/travel documents of

                   (1)   Bulgaria                                      (11)    Mexico

                   (2)   Bhutan                                       (12)    Nauru

                   (3)   People’s Republic of China          (13)    Papua New Guinea

                   (4)   Cyprus                                        (14)    Romania

                   (5)   Ethiopia                                      (15)    Russia

                   (6)   Fiji                                             (16)    Saudi Arabia

                   (7)   Georgia                                       (17)    Vanuatu

                   (8)   India                                           (18)    Uzbekistan

                   (9)   Kazakhstan                                 (19)    Taiwan

                   (10) Malta

All existing visas attached to the passports/travel documents issued by Royal Thai Embassies and Consulates prior to this temporary suspension remain valid.

Travelers of the above-mentioned countries/territory may apply for visas at the Royal Thai Embassy, Abu Dhabi, on Sunday - Thursday, from 9.30 - 12.30 hrs.
